Field Automation System (FAS)
FAS is an IBM NotesĀ® forms generation system implemented during the late 1990s that stores and maintains facility visit data. The FAS interfaces with LIS on a nightly basis to upload visit data and download any facility updates.
The FAS also maintains data entered into the forms, generates licenses, and provides complaint and statistical reports. This system is used to:
- Document investigation visits, including citations issued and POCs.
- Create receipts for payments received in the Regional Office.
- Generate and house statistical reports.
- House the Evaluator Manual.
- Document complaints, findings, and follow-up.
- Create facility inspection and complaint investigation reports on site.
- Monitor and manage licensing staff workload.
